For a home birth or a hospital birth you can use a checklist. This way you can be sure that you have everything in your house or in your hospital bag and that you are fully prepared. There are many checklists on the internet for giving birth in bed. Most of the points you use for a bath delivery and it is of course possible that part of your delivery also takes place in bed. We have placed ours below and completed it with specific points for a bath delivery. Of course, it is always possible that specific things are missing or unnecessary for you.
Make sure you at least have a stall package. You really need the stuff from this package, both for a home birth and a hospital birth. If you have a home birth planned, it is also wise to pack an escape bag when you have to go to the hospital.
Home birth checklist (in addition to the maternity package)
Don't forget to put the bed on bobbins three weeks before your due date. Bobbins can be rented at a care shop.
If you have children and/or pets, make sure you wait on time.
Provide a video camera/photographer or sufficiently charged telephone.
