Corporate Social Responsibility

Sustainability is a hot topic nowadays. And rightly so, we think! We at Bevallingsbaden are also very aware of the impact we have on CO2, waste and sustainability.

What do we do?

  • We plant trees with
    Trees for All
  • We donate drinking water to the third world with
    MadeBlue
  • We recycle our birthing baths with
    Vinylrecycling.com

Safety, hygiene and sustainability

In our industry, there is always a trade-off between safety, hygiene and sustainability. While we clearly put the health of the pregnant woman first by not reusing any articles, we more than compensate for this through our CO2 policy, our recycling programme and our water projects for third world countries.

We operate CO2 negative, offsetting more than we emit through Trees for All. We return our birthing pools, inner covers, water hoses and water pumps that have done their job to new raw materials, and we support the MadeBlue Foundation by donating water.

With us, you choose:

  • The health of mother and baby;
  • Clean drinking water in third world countries;
  • And the planet.

Justifiably the most sustainable provider in Europe!

Recycle

For our birthing baths (professional and personal) and a large part of our consumables, we have set up a unique recycling program in cooperation with Vinylrecycling.

We are the first in the Netherlands to have the option of recycling the used disposables, such as inner covers, water hoses and water pumps. These are returned to us in a recycling bag along with the rental bath.

When we receive the used disposables and defective or discarded birthing baths back, we make sure they are prepared for recycling. In cooperation with Vinylrecycling, the products are reduced to new raw material. The new raw materials are used for boots, flooring and garden hoses, among other things.

If you choose our sustainable option, then you choose a conscious and responsible way of giving birth in water. A choice you make for yourself and for your baby.

    Through our cooperation with Trees for All, we compensate our CO2 emissions. Even so much that we operate in a CO2-negative way (i.e. we compensate more than we produce). Through this foundation, we plant 150 trees every year, of which 75 in the Netherlands and 75 abroad. This ensures a CO2 offset of 10 tonnes of CO2 per year.

    Trees for All plants trees for life

    Trees for All is a CBF-recognised charity. They plant forests in the Netherlands and abroad for a better climate, more biodiversity and healthier living conditions.

      Made Blue

      With every order, we donate 650 litres of water to the Third World. Exactly as much water as is used in a 2-person birthing pool. By now, we have donated 12,032,600 litres of water to MadeBlue. Good for at least 165 people for 10 years or more.

      MadeBlue

      The Made Blue Foundation has ANBI status (number 8545.63.933). MadeBlue wants to give as many people as possible access to clean drinking water. They invest in water projects in the countries where it badly needed is.
